The Dermalux Flex MD is the world’s most powerful home-use LED device, treating a range of medical conditions and skin concerns on the face and body. Loved and used by skincare experts, celebrities and medical professionals worldwide, the Flex MD is created by the globally recognised and multi-award winning Dermalux systems.

We’re delighted to be the global exclusive retailer of the Dermalux Flex MD, so we wanted to answer some of the most common questions about this multi-purpose LED device.

What is the Dermalux Flex MD?

Used in clinics all over the world, the Dermalux Flex MD is a clinically proven, professional-level LED device that improves your skin’s overall health. Now available for home-use, it uses the only proven LED wavelengths - blue, red and near-infrared - and boasts 7 pre-programmed treatments for muscle and joint pain, and a number of skin concerns.

What does it treat?

Multi-purpose and fully flexible, the Dermalux Flex MD can be used to treat skin concerns like redness, acne, pigmentation, scarring, uneven skin tone, signs of ageing and large pores. It’s also medically certified to target wider body concerns such as sports injuries, joint pain and bone health.

How does it work?

The flexible canopy is fitted with LED lights. These are channelled into the skin’s different layers where different reactions take place. In the first layer, blue light triggers a natural reaction which destroys bacteria and acne breakouts.

In the next layer, red light is absorbed where it energises the skin and rejuvenates cells to treat fine lines, wrinkles, redness and pigmentation. Infrared is channeled into the skin’s deepest layers to calm irritation, reduce inflammation and boost the strength of the skin.

So, what are the benefits of the Dermalux Flex MD?

As well as giving you the opportunity to benefit from professional-level LED from the comfort of your own home, the Dermalux Flex MD is really easy to use and can be enjoyed by the whole family.

By using LED light, the device doesn’t contain any harmful wavelengths or UV rays so there’s no risk of your skin burning. It’s also completely pain-free and has no downtime.

How can I fit it into my daily routine?

The Dermalux Flex MD offers the same results as an in-clinic treatment would but at home. Simply manoeuvre the device over your chosen treatment area, switch it on and choose which light you’d like to use. Then, relax for 30 minutes. You should repeat this 3-5 times a week.

What is the treatment or usage time?

Each pre-programmed treatment lasts for 30 minutes but they can be adjusted as required.

Can I use it alongside my other treatments?

Yes. Dermalux Flex MD easily integrates with other health and beauty procedures to enhance results, accelerate skin healing and minimise downtime. This includes skin peels, microdermabrasion, microneedling, radio frequency, laser hair removal and injectable treatments.

Can everyone use the Dermalux Flex MD?

People who suffer with the following conditions should not use Dermalux Flex MD:

  • Epilepsy or seizures triggered by light
  • Metabolic disorders such as Porphyria
  • Autoimmune disorders such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
  • Photosensitive disorders such as Photosensitive Eczema
  • Active Cancers
  • Use of Photosensitive Medications

If you’re unsure whether it’s safe for you to use the device, please consult your doctor beforehand.

Do I need to protect my eyes?

Yes, we supply eye protector goggles and advise all users to wear them during the treatment. It is safe for you to wear contact lenses during each session though.
