Your skin is constantly changing – while you might see spots one week, the next may leave you with redness. Luckily, so is skincare technology. Introducing the CurrentBody Series 3 LED mask, designed to be fully customisable, for personalised treatments tailored to your changing skin concerns or goals.
Read on to learn more about the technology behind LED therapy, how our new high-tech skincare solution has evolved from the CurrentBody Series 1 mask, and what sets it apart from the Multi-Light mask.
Why the technology behind your mask matters
Not all LED light therapy devices are built the same. Effective LED therapy depends on delivering a precise balance of:
- Wavelength accuracy: Delivering the wavelength clinically proven to achieve results.
- Coverage consistency: Covering the entire treatment area evenly for consistent results.
- Power: Using the exact amount of power needed for optimal results. Too little won’t work, and too much can limit results or even harm the skin.
Get any of these wrong, and the device underdelivers. That’s why every CurrentBody mask is designed with these elements in mind, for maximum safety and results.
The importance of wavelengths
LED therapy works by using specific light wavelengths to penetrate the skin at different depths, each triggering a visible result and supporting different skin goals.
While blue (415nm) light works on the skin’s surface to help reduce the appearance of spots, green (532nm) and yellow (590nm) go deeper. Green targets dark spots and pigmentation, and yellow helps calm the appearance of redness to visibly brighten skin and balance tone.
Known for anti-ageing, red light wavelengths – including red (633nm), near-infrared (830nm) and deep near-infrared (1072nm) – travel deeper into the skin to help firm and plump, smoothing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and texture. For a full breakdown of what each wavelength does, read our blog on the benefits of each wavelength.
LED quality, safety and testing
To get the accuracy and power of each wavelength right, LED quality is key. This is where Veritace® comes in, CurrentBody’s end-to-end testing system. Each individual LED bulb is tested, ensuring that only the most precise bulbs are used, for guaranteed safety and results. Once complete, each device is packaged with a unique Veritace® card. Simply tap the card with your phone to reveal the results.

Meet the latest generation: Series 3
The CurrentBody Series 3 mask combines the wavelength precision of the Series 2 Red Light Therapy mask with the wavelength selection of the Multi-Light mask, and adds MyDose™.
A world's first for at-home LED technology, MyDose™ gives you full control over every LED, for completely customisable LED therapy sessions. You select which wavelength each individual LED emits, and MyDose™ calculates its optimal power dose. Simply connect to the CurrentBody app, available from the App Store or Google Play Store, to pair with your device and create your own personalised, shareable treatment.
While Veritace® testing ensures every LED delivers the precise wavelengths clinically proven to perform, MyDose™ technology automatically calculates and adjusts its energy output, making sure only the amount of light clinically proven to achieve results reaches your skin.
The evolution from Series 1 to Series 3
Each CurrentBody mask builds on the one before it, improving coverage, quality, and control.
Series 1 introduced red (633nm) and near-infrared (830nm) light therapy to the home in the form of a flexible, wearable device.
Series 2 added deep near-infrared (1072nm) light and Veritace® technology for LED quality and precision. Meanwhile, additional LEDs, Best-Fit flexible silicone, and an added chin-strap improved coverage, and a new multi-way fastening strap and optional eye inserts enhanced comfort.
Series 3 goes one step further again, introducing MyDose™ and three additional wavelengths: blue (415nm), green (532nm) and yellow (590nm) to target all skin concerns with fully personalised treatments tailored to your skin's changing needs. 750 LEDs deliver more even, more precise coverage across the entire face, making this our most adaptable device yet.

Series 3 vs Multi-Light: What’s the difference?
The CurrentBody Series 3 and Multi-Light masks both use the same number of wavelengths, with one main difference – MyDose™. While the Multi-Light mask also features a number of preset modes designed to target concerns, from fine lines to dullness, wavelength placement is mapped to key zones and cannot be adjusted.
The Series 3 mask allows you to tailor every treatment to your skin’s changing needs and concerns, wherever they appear on the face, while managing the power output of each LED.

Which CurrentBody mask is right for you?
When it comes to choosing the best device for you, it’s important to consider your individual skin needs and concerns. The CurrentBody Series 2 and Multi-Light masks remain independently tested, Veritace®-certified devices. But for personalised, dose-controlled LED therapy, the Series 3 device is your answer.
