Terms of service

Last updated: 28 August 2025

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) set out the basis on which we supply products and services to consumers and the rules for using our websites and apps.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

1.1 Contracting entity. Your contract of sale is with The Beauty Tech Group Ltd (company number 06805380) of Glasshouse, Alderley Park, Congleton Road, Nether Alderley, Cheshire, SK10 4ZE, United Kingdom (“CurrentBody”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Our VAT number is GB978711864. 1.2 Group collection agents. For some orders we appoint collection agents to process payments on our behalf only. They are not the seller.

  • US & Rest of World - The Beauty Tech Group LLC (United States)
  • EU - The Beauty Tech Group BV (Netherlands)
  • UK - Payments are processed by The Beauty Tech Group Ltd. 1.3 How to contact us. Email sales@currentbody.com or write to the address above. If your query is about an existing order, use the contact details in your order confirmation.

2. By using the Site you accept these Terms

By using our website or apps (together, the “Site”), you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

3. Other terms that apply

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Delivery & Returns, each as updated from time to time.

4. Who can use our Site

The Site is intended for users aged 18 and over. If you are under 18 you must not place an order.

5. Your order and our contract with you

5.1 Placing an order. Place orders by following checkout steps on the Site. Please review your order before submitting. 5.2 Acknowledgement and acceptance. After you submit an order we will send an acknowledgement email. This is not acceptance. A contract is formed only when we send a dispatch confirmation email or otherwise confirm acceptance in writing. 5.3 Pre-contract information. Information we provide by law (key characteristics, total price including taxes, delivery charges, our identity and contact details) forms part of the contract and cannot be changed without your express agreement. 5.4 Availability and substitutions. All products are subject to availability. If an item is unavailable, we may offer a suitable alternative of equal or higher value or cancel and refund. We will contact you before dispatch if proposing a substitution. 5.5 Obvious errors. If we spot an obvious pricing or description error, we may cancel and refund. You may reorder at the corrected price.

6. Prices, taxes and payment

6.1 Prices. Prices shown at checkout apply at the time of ordering. We may change prices at any time, but not for orders we have already accepted. 6.2 Taxes and duties. Prices include VAT/GST/sales tax where applicable. For international shipments, local import duties and taxes may apply when goods reach your country unless stated otherwise at checkout. 6.3 Payment methods. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout (for example Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna where available). 6.4 Security and fraud checks. We use industry-standard security measures and may use our payment processors’ tools to help prevent fraud. We do not work with credit reference agencies. Some payment providers such as Klarna or PayPal may run their own checks under their own terms and privacy notices. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we process personal data.

7. Delivery

Delivery options and timeframes appear at checkout and on Delivery & Returns, which forms part of these Terms. Unless we agree a specific date or period, we will deliver without undue delay and in any event within 30 days of the contract. Risk in goods passes on delivery to you or a person you nominate to receive them (or, if you arrange your own carrier, when we deliver to that carrier). Title passes when we receive full payment.

8. Your legal rights – UK consumers

8.1 Cooling-off – 30 days. For distance sales we offer 30 days after the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods to cancel without giving a reason, provided items are unused and unopened. If your order is split into several deliveries, the period runs from receipt of the last item. You must return goods within 14 days after you notify cancellation. 8.2 Goods that are faulty or misdescribed. You have statutory rights to a repair, replacement or refund. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

9. EU/EEA consumers – mandatory rights

If you are habitually resident in an EU/EEA Member State, you benefit from mandatory local consumer protections, including a right of withdrawal and a legal guarantee. Where these offer greater protection than UK law, they prevail. Our 30-day cooling-off in §8.1 is a goodwill extension.

10. Returns, cancellations and refunds

10.1 How to return. See Delivery & Returns for instructions, labels and addresses, including how to start a return. 10.2 Cooling-off returns. During the 30-day period in §8.1, you may return unused and unopened items for a refund. We may make deductions for any loss in value resulting from unnecessary handling.

11. Promotions and free gifts

Promotions are subject to the terms published with the promotion. Free gifts are limited to one per household unless stated otherwise. We may change or withdraw promotions at any time, but this will not affect orders already placed.

12. Reviews and user content

If you submit reviews, comments or other content (“UGC”), you promise it is lawful, accurate and does not infringe others’ rights. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, distribute, adapt and display your UGC in connection with our business across any media, until you delete it (and for a reasonable period thereafter in backups or where retention is required by law). We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

13. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Site. In particular, you must not: a) breach applicable laws; b) post UGC that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or misleading; c) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, accounts, data or networks; d) interfere with or disrupt the Site’s operation; e) use automated means to access the Site except as permitted in writing.

14. Using content on our Site (copyright & permitted use)

We (or our licensors) own all intellectual property rights in the Site and its content. You may print one copy and download extracts for your personal use. You must not modify copies, separate images from accompanying text or use any content for commercial purposes without our written permission. If you copy or repost any part of the Site in breach of these Terms, your right to use the Site will stop immediately and you must destroy or return any copies you have made.

15. No text or data mining, web-scraping or AI training

You must not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining or web-scraping in relation to the Site or any services or content available via it, including for the development, training, fine-tuning or validation of AI systems. This includes using any robot, bot, spider, scraper or similar automated tool to access, obtain, copy, monitor or republish any portion of the Site. This clause is an express reservation of our rights, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790.

16. Linking to our Site

You may link to our home page in a way that is fair and lawful and does not damage our reputation or imply association or endorsement where none exists. You must not frame the Site or create links to any part other than the home page. We may withdraw linking permission without notice.

17. Trade marks

“CURRENTBODY”, “CURRENTBODY SKIN”, “VERITACE®” and other marks we use are our trade marks (or those of our group or licensors). You are not permitted to use them without our approval unless permitted by these Terms.

18. Do not rely on information on this Site

Site content is for general information only and is not advice. Obtain professional or specialist advice before acting on content. Although we try to keep information up to date, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees that content is accurate, complete or current.

19. Site changes, availability and suspension

We may update and change the Site from time to time to reflect changes to our products, users’ needs or business priorities. We do not guarantee the Site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict availability for business and operational reasons.

20. Account security

If you choose or are provided with a password or other security information, you must treat it as confidential and not disclose it to any third party. We may disable credentials if, in our reasonable opinion, you have not complied with these Terms. If you suspect unauthorised access, tell us promptly.

21. Viruses and misuse

We do not guarantee the Site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for using your own virus protection. You must not introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the Site or attack it via a denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attack. We may report breaches to law-enforcement authorities under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

22. Third-party websites

The Site may contain links to third-party sites. These links are for information only. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.

23. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy for details about how we collect and use personal data, including international transfers.

24. SMS text messaging

CurrentBody Mobile Message Program Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 8th September 2025

The CurrentBody mobile message program (the "Program") is operated by The Beauty Tech Group Ltd (“CurrentBody”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Program constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms of Service”) and Privacy Policy (the “Agreement”). By opting in to or participating in any of our Programs, you accept and agree to these terms and conditions, including, without limitation, your agreement to resolve any disputes with us through binding, individual-only arbitration, as detailed in the “Dispute Resolution” section below. This Agreement is limited to the Program and is not intended to modify other Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy that may govern the relationship between you and Us in other contexts. We may modify or cancel the Program or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms of Service at any time and your continued use of the Program following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

User Opt In

The Program allows Users to receive SMS/MMS mobile messages by affirmatively opting into the Program, such as through online or application-based enrolment forms. By consenting to CurrentBody’s SMS/text messaging Program, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of CurrentBody through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. By participating in the Program, you agree to receive autodialed or prerecorded marketing mobile messages at the phone number associated with your opt-in, and you understand that consent is not required to make any purchase from Us. While you consent to receive messages sent using an autodialler, the foregoing shall not be interpreted to suggest or imply that any or all of Our mobile messages are sent using an automatic telephone dialing system (“ATDS” or “autodialler”). Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).

You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with CurrentBody. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.

User Opt Out

You may opt-out of the Program at any time. Reply the single keyword command STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT (or if French speaking - ARRET, DESABONNER, ANNULER, or FIN) or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to opt out of the Program. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you.

You understand and agree that the foregoing options are the only reasonable methods of opting out. You acknowledge that our text message platform may not recognize and respond to unsubscribe requests that alter, change, or modify the STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT (or if French speaking - ARRET, DESABONNER, ANNULER, or FIN) keyword commands, such as the use of different spellings or the addition of other words or phrases to the command, and agree that CurrentBody and its service providers will have no liability for failing to honor such requests. You also understand and agree that any other method of opting out, including, but not limited to, texting words other than those set forth above or verbally requesting one of our employees to remove you from our list, is not a reasonable means of opting out.

If you have subscribed to other CurrentBody mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

For Program support or assistance, reply HELP or sales@currentbody.com.

We may change any short code or telephone number we use to operate the Program at any time and will notify you of these changes. You acknowledge that any messages, including any STOP or HELP requests, you send to a short code or telephone number we have changed may not be received and we will not be responsible for honoring requests made in such messages.

Program Description:

Without limiting the scope of the Program, users that opt into the Program can expect to receive messages concerning the marketing, promotion, payment, delivery and sale of At-home beauty and wellness technology. Messages may include checkout reminders.

Cost and Frequency:

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for the Program, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.

Message frequency varies. You agree to receive messages periodically at Our discretion. Daily, weekly, and monthly message frequency will vary. The Program involves recurring mobile messages, and additional mobile messages may be sent periodically based on your interaction with Us.

Our Disclaimer of Warranty:

The Program is offered on an "as-is" basis and may not be available in all areas at all times and may not continue to work in the event of product, software, coverage or other changes made by your wireless carrier. Delivery of mobile messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider/network operator and is outside of Our control. The wireless carriers supported by the Program are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Program, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Program.

Participant Requirements:

Miscellaneous:

You warrant and represent to Us that you have all necessary rights, power, and authority to agree to these Terms and perform your obligations hereunder, and nothing contained in this Agreement or in the performance of such obligations will place you in breach of any other contract or obligation. The failure of either party to exercise in any respect any right provided for herein will not be deemed a waiver of any further rights hereunder. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
