CB Top Tip: How to get ready in under fifteen minutes

Somehow, it’s almost time for the kids to go back to school (where did the summer go, anyone?), meaning more traffic, more tantrums and a hectic morning schedule. All of this leaves little time for pre-work pampering, so we’ve put together a fool proof routine to getting ready in under fifteen minutes.

5 Minutes – Bathroom Time

Brush your teeth, hop in the shower, but put down that shampoo! Up do’s and curls hold better when your hair is slightly dirty, so pick up that dry shampoo and get spraying.

2 Minutes – Dress Up

If you’re anything like us, choosing an outfit first thing in the morning after little sleep is a recipe for disaster. Choose your outfit the night before (including accessories) and chuck it on in no time at all.

5 Minutes – Hair and Makeup

This will only work if you believe in the notion that less is more (and if you use a Clarisonic, you’ll want to show off your fresh face!). Use your hands to apply moisturiser, followed by your foundation. This method is much quicker than using a brush, however if you have very oily skin it may be a good idea to use a sponge. Add a stroke of blusher to each cheek and a touch of mascara to your lashes and you’re good to go.

Your hair will be much easier to style if you’ve skipped washing it and have taken advantage of a bit of Batiste! For a style that’ll last all day and takes just two minutes, check out our fishtail tutorial.

And you’re ready to go with three minutes to spare! Just enough time to make a travel flask of coffee and grab a cereal bar. Go you.
