Why It Works
Braun Silk Pro uses IPL (intense pulsed light) to flash and heat up hair follicles. By heating them, it sends them into their resting state. Over time, they stop creating hair full stop. This means less hair in just a few weeks with 10-minute treatments on your body each week.
Following the first 12 weeks, you'll only need touch-up treatments every 1 to 2 months. Choose from the different modes for a stamping or gliding treatment that's comfortable for your skin.
It's As Simple As
Step 1: Shave off any visible hair.
Step 2: Turn it on an choose from normal, gentle or extra gentle modes. Select the right head for your treatment area.
Step 3: Lay the device against your dry skin. It will begin to flash if it's placed correctly and you have a light enough skin tone for treatment.
Step 4: Choose your mode: Power, Gentle or Speed.
Step 5: Hold the button down to glide over larger areas or press and release for precision stamping.
Step 6: When you are done, apply your moisturiser.
Your questions, answered
Our in-house beauty tech experts answer your most commonly asked questions.
The Braun Silk-Expert Pro 5 PL5124 requires you to follow the treatment plan of one treatment a week for 12 weeks.
You cannot use the Braun Silk-Expert Pro 5 PL5124 on the pubic area, you would only be able to treat the bikini line.
For the best results we recommend shaving within a couple of hours before treatment. This will help the laser target the area better.
You can only shave before treating with an IPL or laser device as these devices work by breaking down the hair follicle.
The device is suitable for those with skin tones I-V on the Fitzpatrick Scale. Do not use the device on the darkest skin types, since it might cause skin damage.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the Braun device is not recommended for people with vitiligo, we would recommend a shaver for hair removal in this case.
