"I admit I was a little sceptical but…"
After seeing my Mother, Grandmother and Aunt all end up with jowls in their later years, I knew as I approached my mid-40s that I would need to take some action to prevent the same drooping to happen to me. I was already starting to see some sagging around the jawline and, I’ll be honest, it frightened me that there was really no escape from time.
So when I happened upon the NuFACE Trinity, I admit I was a little sceptical but still, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to take some preventative action in a non-invasive way. The device is relatively simple to use. You simply plug it in to charge and once ready (it reassuringly beeps to let you know when it’s charging), use the gel provided to form a protective layer between your skin and the electrical charges it emits.
I followed the instructions in the booklet and my first time, I was a bit trepidatious, not really knowing whether it would hurt or not! I set the machine to 2 (the setting goes up to 5 for maximum effect) and proceeded. While I could feel a very slight tingly sensation, it certainly wasn’t uncomfortable so increased it to 3. After a few weeks, I used it very comfortably at the 4 setting and then finally, increased the setting to 5. I found the tingling sensation is really only apparent as the device is lifted to around the hairline but again, while it’s a bit of a strange feeling, it’s certainly not painful at all.
I didn’t notice instant results and I think this is something those considering it need to keep in mind. Using the NuFACE certainly takes a bit of commitment just to give yourself those 5 or 10 minutes every day for at least 6 weeks to see any real effect but after 8 or 9 weeks of using the device, I can certainly see more definition in my jawline and the creeping sagginess seems to have been staved off completely.
I’ll continue to use my NuFACE a few times a week now and feel those few minutes are certainly worth looking younger for longer. Perhaps my fate will not be the same as the women in my family, given the technology we have today and while this is an investment, my jawline definitely feels it’s worth every penny!
