We've noticed a number of devices springing up lately, all fighting for Clarisonic's crown – and the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is one of them.
How are they similar?
There are a number of similarities. Both are waterproof so can be used in the shower. And both have removable brush heads that need to be replaced every three months, which is an on-going cost.
The brush heads
Clarisonic has a number of options available in its brush head range from delicate to deep pore, while the Clinique brush only has one type of brush head – but we imagine they will release some options on to the market before too long. The design of the Clinique brush head gives it a slanted top section for getting into the t-zone and the bristles on this section are harder than the main part of the brush head.
Speed settings
The Clarisonic has various speed options depending on your model, whether you have a Mia, Mia 2, Aria or Plus. The Clinique brush only has one speed.
Our verdict
One of the main differences is that you can't personalise your skincare routine using the Clinique brush as it has only one speed and one brush head type. This means that you can't tailor your routine to suit your skin's differing needs throughout the year. The Clarisonic is very personalisable as you can use different brush heads at different times of day and different times of year.
