TREND – Make It Shiny Or Just Don’t Bother

Thanks to the recent 90’s revival, all things holographic, iridescent, and illuminescent are big news right now – including the occasional pair of light-up, glow in the dark platform shoes, if you’re into that sort of thing (i.e if you’re into broken ankles). Being the kind of girl who’ll literally trip over her own feet when distracted by something shiny, I’m certainly in my element right now. I was horrified, however, to discover that not all of the CURRENTBODY team share my excellent taste, and didn’t actually agree that Clarisonic could be made even better by making the whole thing light up. In fact, it’s almost like my colleagues think that functionality comes first or something.

Of course I’m joking, and how well our products work is always the first and foremost when deciding if they deserve a place on the CB virtual shelves – but if it’s already functioning so well, why not throw some glitter on it?

It’s a Clarisonic, and it lights up – what’s not to love?

Here’s a little trend mood board I threw together strictly for day-glow daredevils!
Either take a slightly more subtle approach and pick one stand-out piece as a talking point, or follow my lead, throw caution to the wind and wear the whole lot all at once. Just don’t hold me responsible for people thinking you’re off to a sci fi convention.

Holographic Iridescent Style

In the meantime, I’ll keep trying to convince my colleagues that it’s fashion forward, not fashion fail.
