The Mi-Fitness is a real Personal Trainer. It includes an electrode cable fitted with the mi-sensor system which intergrates the muscle intelligence technology Mi-Scan, Mi-Tens, Mi-Range, Mi-Action, it takes into account your specific muscular capacities and adapts the workout sessions to your physiology and unique needs.

The Compex Mi-Fitness Trainer can be used to replace a missed training session, be it a plyometeric burst session, an endurance session, or even a cross training endurance/resistance training session. These systems are the perfect partner for the serious fitness professional / enthusiast.

These units are nothing like the EMS systems you can buy on the shopping channels. The quality and more importantly, level of functionality is second to none.

We have many personal trainers / coaches / physios who use these units on a daily basis to compliment their business practices. The biggest singular difference between these units and others is their ease of use. There is no need to tweek phase, frequency, intensity, duration etc. Just choose the programme and body part and go. Simple.

The Compex Muscle Intelligence (Compex Mi) system first scans your muscles and then sets relative power settings to match the muscle reaction/density. With the new Compex Muscle Intelligence system the user has the option of voluntarily contracting the muscle in time with the electronically stimulated impulse. This helps to build muscle co-ordination as well as strengthening and toning the muscle. With a few sessions each week, your stimulator will help you to reach your goals.

Easy to install, easy to use, it is simple and safe like every Compex.

The Compex EMS training book supplied provides all the information need to get the most from your new Compex EMS (Electronic Muscle Stimulator).

Best Compex product?

I am 50 years and compete competitively in orienteering (rough cross country running while map reading). Just before Christmas I had a knee arthroscopy with abrasive chondroplasty. Recovery is progressing well and I am now on a treatmill (30s run / 90s walk). What product would you recommend for rehabilitation and longer term performance?

by Robert Sweatman from Havant

I would suggest given that you compete and are looking to help performance moving forward the Compex MI sport is the most obvious choice as it covers all bases and is pretty much the best EMS device on the market for both club and elite athletes. The one alternative product I would recommend is the Kneehab IF your main concern is struggling to fire up the quads post op which can be notoriously hard. That said, this is specific to the quadriceps and given your desire to use the device on all muscles to help performance the Compex has far more functions and flexibility.

The truth of the compex range is that in the top end Fitness/Runner/Sport products there is little to chose between them and if price is an issue the slightly cheaper compex will still do a job for what you need.

The MI sport remains their flagship stimulator and our most popular device and is very desirable amongst athletes internationally and as such it also commands a good resale price if you ever decide you don’t need it and that’s also sometimes worth knowing!

Mi Fitness or Mi Sport

Hello, I've been comparing the Mi Fitness and the Mi Sport and it seems that the Mi Sport does not handle "toning" function. Am I correct to think that the Mi Sport is not adapted for the "Aesthetic" side and does not have the function of the Mi Fitness from the Fitness and Body Sculpt categories? Thanks

by Alex

The Mi Sport does have an aesthetic programme: Abs - to strengthen and tone abs. The Compex Mi Sport is packed with programmes and is aimed at athletes The Mi Fitness has the following aesthetic programmes: Adipostress - to be used in conjunction with other cellulite treatments for a more aggressive treatment of cellulite. Calorilysis - to be used as a complement to a low-calorie diet in order to accentuate the calorie deficit. Elasticity using - to be used as a complement to Muscle firming or Shaping programmes. Muscle firming / Firming using the Compex Mi Muscle Stimulator - to be used as the main treatment for muscle firming. Muscle tone / Toning - to be used to begin with in order to tone up and prepare the muscles before more intensive firming work. Refinement - to be used on waist muscles after abdomen firming. Shaping - to be used when the firming phase is finished. The Compex Mi Fitness is also packed with programmes and is aimed at the serious fitness professional or enthusiast.

im 8 wks post acl and double cartilage operation

I have complete muscle wastage after my double op in december and because i had a double cartilage tear repaired at the same time as my ACL, i have been prohibited from really pushing on with my exercises, will this machine help both injuries

by Keith Ridgard from waterford, ireland

The answer is yes…. if you want a stimulator that is less specific to knee rehab then any of the Compex range from the Performance upwards (i.e. Performance, Mi Fitness and Mi Sport) will offer more functionality. If you just want a device for quad wastage then kneehab is the one. If you want more advice then feel free to call our freephone number, or we can call you if you send a request through.

Can you tell me the differences between the Runner, Fitness and Sport models

Hi, Can you tell me the differences between the Runner, Fitness and Sport models. I am making the transition from running 10K and Half Marathons to full Marathons at club level. I would like boost my endurance, core stability (I have slight imbalance in my running) and speed my recovery. Ideally I would like the device aid recovery after Alpine and Tour skiing. At my level am I going to benefit from the additional features in the sport and fitness models? Many thanks

by Matthew Rice from Milton Keynes

I would recommend the Compex Mi Sport over the Fitness and the Runner for you for the following reasons: Given what you're doing, you need something which can deal with the whole spectrum including: Building muscle strength, Building endurance, Recovery post run & Rehabilitation from niggly injuries. The Compex Mi Sport is the only one which has all of these programmes. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Which one should I get? Compex Mi Sport or Mi Fitness?

Please can you tell me the differences between the Fitness and Sport models? Not sure which one to get. I cycle, but not on a tremendous scale. I prefer an overall fitness level with the ability to build muscle/tone/firm. Also, I want either one that can relieve pain in the upper neck and back areas. So far, I am leaning towards the Compex Mi-Fitness, but am not sure if the Mi-Sport offers ALL of the Mi-fitness functions Plus more??

by Kevin from USA

Hi Kevin, We would recommend the Mi-Fitness. For sports specific fitness, toning, endurance and muscle strength the Mi-Fitness is most relevant. It is also the more suitable for someone looking at an overall fitness regime (hence the name) It will also help with pain relief that you mention. The Mi-Sport is mainly aimed at elite sportsmen and women so the Fitness will provide you with all your requirements and it's slightly cheaper. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, Scott
