Can the Precise Touch be used by anyone?
Yes! The TOUCH and Precise are the first FDA approved home hair removal devices to be FDA cleared for use on on skin tone and hair colours. This is due to the unique combination of IPL and Radio Frequency technology.
How soon will I see results?
For best results, we recommend using the Precise TOUCH on the same area once a week for seven treatments. After completing the first seven treatments, additional monthly touch-ups on an as-needed basis will help keep your skin silky smooth.
Which areas can I treat with the Iluminage Precise?
The Precise Touch is designed for use on the face, underarms and bikini line. Its smaller treatment window means it is perfect for acurately treating harder to reach areas.
Can I use the Precise Touch on my face?
Our hair removal devices can be used on women’s facial hair below the cheek line. Common facial areas include: mustache/upper lip, sideburns, jawline and chin/neck. Use of the device on the male face has not been tested in clinical trials and therefore is not recommended.
Does it hurt?
When used as directed, you will experience just a gentle warming sensation. If you are using the system for the first time or on a new body area, it is recommended to perform a skin sensitivity test, using the LOW energy level. Once you are comfortable with this you can increase the energy level and the higher levels will provide better results over time.
Can I use the device anywhere on my body?
The Precise TOUCH are intended for use on the body for men and women. Both the TOUCH and Precise TOUCH are designed to be used to remove hair on the arms, legs, chest, back and stomach. The Precise TOUCH is specially designed for the woman’s facial hair below the jawline, underarm, and bikini, due to the contoured shaping of the device. DO NOT USE our hair removal systems on the head, ears, nipples or intimate areas.
Can I treat more than once a week for quicker results?
For the face, yes. We would recommend 2-3 times a week depending on hair growth speed, other areas we would advise it is better to treat once a week
Will this work on blonde and red or very fine hair?
Yes, the Precise will work for you, you would need to wax or epilate prior to treatment rather than shaving. Please feel free to chat to our product experts if you would like a treatment plan.
Do I do anything differently if I have pale hair?
We recommend to epilate or wax immediately before treating if you have blonde or red hair. When plucking the hair from the root with an epilator or waxing, you create a brief micro-bleed (a tiny dot of blood in the follicle) that acts like a dark hair, enabling the RF and IPL energy to target the follicle base and permanently disable it, so it can’t grow back. Generally people with fair hair require more treatments than people with dark hair. It is important to mention that the product is highly efficient for dark hair, and is the only one in market which gives a solution for fair hair.
What is the difference between the Precise Touch and the Touch device?
The Touch has more flashes and has a larger head, which is better if treating large areas such as the arms and legs, but also has a precision attachment so it can operate in the same way the Precise does. The Precise is designed for smaller areas such as the face, underarms and bkini line. Both the Touch and Precise have 300,000 flashes which is more than enough for 5 ladies whole bodies for life.
How many times do I have to treat to start seeing results?
Most users with dark hair will see results in around 7 treatments. For those with blonde or red hair, we would suggest more like 10-12 treatments for desired results.
