If treated with a little bit of love your Clarisonic could last years; which makes it a really great investment for your skin. Considering that it will soon become one of your most prized skincare tools, you’ll want to keep it in tip-top shape. So follow these expert tips for making the most of your Clarisonic and keeping it healthy and happy.
One of the most important things you can do is make sure your Clarisonic gets a good charge at the beginning. We advise you leave it in the cradle, or attached to the charging cable, for at least 24 hours before the first use.
Depending on how often you use your Clarisonic, you may need to charge it once a week or once a month. Charging times will also depend on your model.
MIA – 18 hour charge gives 20 minutes of use.
PRO – 24 hour charge gives 30 minutes of use.
PLUS – 24 hour charge gives 30 minutes of use.
If you find that you’re aren’t using your Clarisonic very frequently, then still give it a good charge once every 3 months to prolong the battery life.
Once a week wash your Clarisonic with warm soapy water. The unit is fully sealed, so you can immerse it in water in the bath or shower.
The brush head may become discoloured over time, this is not something to worry about and it will not affect the performance of the Clarisonic. I like to give my brush head a good scrub once a week with a little hand sanitiser gel and then rinse thoroughly.
If you want to wipe down the charging dock make sure you unplug it first and make sure it’s completely dry before plugging it in again.
If you have a PLUS or a PRO you should consider leaving it in the cradle when not in use, this is a great way to allow the brush head to dry.
If you have a MIA, place the protective cover over the brush head and leave it in a dry place.
We recommend changing the brush head every 3 months to ensure you’re getting the best possible Clarisonic experience.
Also, don’t feel you have to stick to the same brush head all the time. Your skincare needs may change, and you should take this into consideration when buying new brush heads.
To protect your Clarisonic when travelling consider purchasing a slightly padded wash bag to keep it safe. I like to remove the brush head and place it in its protective capsule, this will ensure the bristles aren’t damaged in transit.
