Customer Questions & Answers
I know that the Pose is designed for the body, and the Stop is designed for the face, but can the Pose be used on the face?
15th Jun, 2009 by Pose Customer FAQ
TriPollar POSE was not designed to be used in the facial area due to the deep penetration of the fat layers. It is not advisable to reduce fat on certain areas of your body such as your face. If you were to use the POSE™ on your face you would reduce the fat layer and would reduce the ‘mass’ under the skin that keeps it radiant and glowing. Fat on the face serves a very important purpose of plumping up the skin and making it look vibrant. People actually are getting fat injected into their face to smooth the fine lines and wrinkles that appear from the natural ageing process in which the fat density decreases. Please look at the Stop - the sister product to the Pose - which is designed specifically for the face.

As this uses Radio Frequency Beams, is this harmful in the longterm?
15th Jul, 2009 by Karen from United Kingdom
RF has been safely used in Medicine for over 30 years for surgery, orthopedic and other procedures. RF has also been used for many years as the traditional method of hair removal (needle epilation) and has been applied to the aesthetic market in the last few years. The AAD (American academy of dermatology) recommends the use of RF for dermatological aesthetic procedures.

Can you use it on calves, ankles and knees? I'm disproportionally fat in these areas - especially calves!! Calves and knees are very difficult - if not impossible - to treat with liposuction.
24th Jul, 2009 by Pam from Manchester
We don’t have any clinical experience with these areas. You might try using the Pose if you can get a full contact of the electrodes and smooth movement on the skin. If you experience such a treatment, we would appreciate your feedback.

I understand that the body secretes liquid fat, what happens to this fat?
10th Aug, 2009 by Helen Roberts from Chester
When fat is broken down into free fatty acids it is then passed into your lymphatic system then excreted as urine.

The fat cells are shrunk but can they still expand and the fat come back in the same place? Also can this product be used for chin fat? Thank you.

by Linda from Wokingham
It can come back. It is the same after you lose weight and you do not keep the diet. BUT.. this is the advantage of having this device at home. After finishing the full session you can use it for maintaining the results.

Can the Tripollar Pose be used for under the chin area? Is the POSE better than the STOP for firming a double chin?
10th Sep, 2009 by Paula from South Wales
The Tripollar Stop is designed for the loose, slack skin in the under the chin area. The Pose, can be carefully used for a fatty under chin (double chin) since it targets the fatty deposits in addition to it's skin tightening effect.

10th Sep, 2009 by Paula from South Wales

Hi, if I buy both pose and stop, can I use either both gel or do I have to use the specific gel for each?
21st Sep, 2009 by Labergue from Greece
Thank you very much for your question. The Stop and the Pose work in different ways, therefore the gels are also formulated differently so it's not recommended that you use one gel with the other device.

Please can you tell me if I can use Tripollar Pose on the inside of my thighs as I have loose skin and fat there. Thanks.
20th Oct, 2009 by Collette from Birmingham
The answer is yes - the Tripollar Pose can be used there, but the only thing to take under consideration is that this area is very sensitive, therefore I would recommend to start on low energy.

Can you use any preperation gel with the tripollar pose?
8th Nov, 2009 by Lily from Carmarthenshire
The TriPollar POSE Preparation Gel is specifically formulated to be used in conjunction with the TriPollar POSE device. It is the only ointment that should be used during treatment. TriPollar POSE Preparation Gel forces the TriPollar energy deep into the dermis layer which is our target for treatment and prevents the over-heating of the epidermal skin. Other forms of gel may cause skin surface over-heating and will block the energy from reaching deep into the dermis.

In a clinical study, seventeen females with pregnancy stretch marks underwent six weekly TriPollar treatments. Results showed that at one week after the final (sixth) treatment 38.2% and 11.8% of the females were assessed to have 25-50% and 51-75% improvement in the appearance of their stretch marks, respectively. The long term effect of the treatment was confirmed during the 6 weeks follow up which showed that a higher percentage of the patients were rated to have improvement of their stretch marks, including 26.5% and 5.9% showing 51-75% and >75% improvement, respectively. None of the participants were rated as having no improvement in their clinical appearance of stretch marks. Patient satisfaction was also documented:
- 65% of females reported that they were very satisfied with the treatment results
- 23% were satisfied with the treatment results
- 12% were slightly satisfied with the treatment results
With regards to the areas of the body, the Tripollar Pose is designed for use on areas with stubborn fat deposits such as the tummy, thighs, buttocks, upper arms and hips.

Hi I know there can be a slight burning sensation after the treatment, but when POSE is in use does it hurt? Thanks
15th Nov, 2009 by Deborah from London
The TriPollar technology focuses the energy delivery directly to the treated area and uses low power and therefore is virtually painless. The treatment provides a pleasant warm sensation underneath the skin.

Hi, I was wondering if the Pose can be used on the face area at all? I was told that my little pouches under the eye area, on top of cheeck is called malar bags by a physican. He said it's mostly comprised of fat tissue. Wonded, if the Pose could melt down the fat some and also in lower jowl and under chin area. Then can I use the Stop to help tighten up areas. Just want to avoid surgery as much as possible. Thanks.

The Pose cannot be used on the facial areas such as under the eyes and the cheeks - the skin in these areas are too delicate and the Pose is not suitable in term of technical specifications, parameters and configuration. However the Pose can be used to treat double chin area. The Tripollar Stop is designed for the face. This is from the manufacturer: TriPollar™ POSE™ helps patients achieve younger-looking, smoother skin without undergoing expensive surgeries such as lose double chin surgery or face lift - and the results won’t fade after a few months. TriPollar™ POSE™ treats double chin by utilizing two consecutive effects: first, it reduces the local fat in the chin area by reducing the size of the fat cells. Second, it tightens the sagging skin in the chin area. The TriPollar™ RF energy tighten skin by heating the collagen under the skin’s surface, causing the skin to contract (tighten). Facial skin tightening is noticeable immediately after the treatment, and there is no downtime, making this an increasingly popular procedure. Additional skin tightening occurs over the next few months, but optimal results usually require 2-3 times a week for a complete session of six weeks.

Can the Tripollar Pose be used on man boobs?
3rd Mar, 2010 by Nic from Wales
The answer is no. There is fat in men’s chest but also breast tissue so it wouldn't suitable. We would recommend the G Form Mini for use on 'man boobs'.

After I use STOP or Pose, will my skin be more sensitive in the sun? Can I use it in the summer?
6th Mar, 2010 by Mary from Athens
It is always recommended to protect your skin when you go out to the sun, however, using TriPollar will not make your skin photosensitive. Therefore, it is OK to go out to the sun during treatment and get a tan. Unless you have sunburn, you can safely continue with your TriPollar treatments.

After using the Tripollar Stop for six weeks, would the results fade if the top ups were not continued? do the results last forever? Also,do the creams come with the unit, and in with the price.
6th Mar, 2010
by Denise from Wales
For optimal and long-lasting results, it is recommended you use the STOP 2-3 times a week for 6-8 weeks. Wait at least 48 hours between sessions to allow the skin's natural process of building new collagen. After that, Stop should be used for maintenance and enhancement of the clinical results, once every couple of weeks or as needed. There is no limit on the use of the device. Results of course don’t last for ever as we can’t stop ageing! A preparation gel and an after-treatment cream is included with the device.
